How OLTA manages risk

Risk Intelligence adds a layer of human oversight over the quantitative metrics. Quantitative metrics in real time, reviewed under human oversight.

Onchain protocols often advertise transparency as if transparency replaces oversight. It doesn't. OLTA runs the same dual-layer discipline institutional risk practice operates under. Quantitative monitoring continuously, with a committee in the loop on every escalation.

What's tracked, automatically

High-water marks per index per epoch. Value at Risk on daily, weekly, monthly horizons. Drawdown limits with hard stops. Liquidity stress on every constituent under simulated outflows. Each metric feeds into the alerting engine 24/7.

What requires a human

Methodology changes. Rebalancing decisions outside the standard cadence. Constituent additions or removals. Hard-stop escalations. Each goes through the OLTA investment committee, internal product, risk, and the OLTA team, before execution. Nothing about the protocol auto-acts on alerts without review.

Why this matters
An autonomous protocol that 'reacts to risk' on its own can be exploited the same way a thermostat can be tricked. A protocol where a human sees the alert before any meaningful action is taken can't.
